This year my resolution is to complete my Doctorate.  Last year I lost sight of my educational goals and wound up fighting more than studying.  To help with the demands of studying I plan on reducing the number of fights I take this year.  I will still be training but I have to complete my Doctorate.  Completing my Doctorate is a life achievement that I do not want to put aside anymore.  Wish me luck as I hit the books.  I will keep you informed as to my next fight.

Since Hugh Hefner left the Windy City, I have been pressed into serving as Chicago’s Playboy.  My good work has earned me an invitation to the Playboy Mansion in California.  There I will be fighting Cory Devela at the 2nd Strikeforce event held at the Mansion.  The event is September 20th.  I will keep you posted on how to watch the event.  It should be another great fight. 

I want to thank all of my sponsors for the Affliction event.  Without them I would not be as prepared and motivated as I am.  I would like to thank Tapout for again providing me with my fight clothes.  I want to thank ZipFizz for their support and great product that gives me all the energy I need to train.  And I would also like to thank MMAFanshop, the place I go to get any gear I need.

I have arrived in California for all of the pre-fight activities.  The weather is great and I am getting really excited about my fight against Belfort.  I hope that everyone will watch it on FSN (5pm PST).  It should be a great fight with another victorious ending before I head back to the UFC.

I just found out that my fight against Vitor Belfort will be televised on Fox Sports Net.  If you can’t make it to Anahiem make sure you watch it on FSN.

It took until Monday night for my voice to return to its normal octive and now it is back to training.  I will be fighting Vitor Belfort in the Affliction: Banned event on July 19th in Anahiem, CA.  If you can’t make it to California be sure to check it out on PPV.  It felt good to get a win, even with the price I had to pay.  I plan on destroying Vitor before heading back to the UFC.  Thanks for all of your support.
